I have used several different portal websites to buy and sell Real Estate.  For various reasons, I was dissatisfied with sites that I had used, and I was surfing around to see if there was anything new out there.  As a former Real Estate broker, I know the value of having property data well presented on the internet.  I wanted to have a place to refer people to all of the information about my property, pictures, maps,  etc, so that I didn't have to keep emailing potential buyers so many files - very time consuming!

The stylish colorful banner of AreaByOwner.com caught my eye.  Then the price - very reasonable.  The fact that I get a whole page that I can easily create and maintain myself was important to me.  And to be able to use 15 photos - it's as if I have my own website for the property that I am selling at a fraction of the cost.  Another feature that I really like is that the photos can be viewed in 3 sizes; the largest size is much larger than other sites were offering.  Buyers can get a very clear view of what the property looks like.  I know that when I have looked at property online it is frustrating if the pictures are too small to see details. 

OK - so I liked the site and the features. Next I contacted Mark Sternig, the owner, and asked some questions.  I discovered that Mark has a technical background and was willing to listen to suggestions, and he offered to help in any way that he could to make the process easier.  Well, the next day while I was looking at the site again, I was amazed to see that Mark had already made several of the changes that we had just talked about.  Then I realized what an asset his technical experience is - with other sites that I had used, the owners had to wait until their web designer could make changes or they were reluctant to make changes/improvements at all because they had to pay someone to do it.  AreaByOwner.com is able to quickly try changes or implement an improvement to help a customer... they did for me! 

I did list 2 properties for sale.  And as I went through the process of getting the pages set up, Mark was extremely quick to respond to my questions and his follow up continues to be more than prompt. A pleasant surprise in today's world, especially considering the incredibly reasonable cost!

Now I can advertise with a link that is to my actual page, which saves me a lot of time. And the flyer that buyers are able to print looks very professional.
